1 st XV: Have played well on occasions and been unlucky to lose. Should have beat Sefton and Southport
2 nd XV: J. Griffiths stated that the attitude of certain individuals in the 2 nd XV needed to improve and as result time keeping and preparation was poor against the medics.
3 rd XV: Played twice unlucky against Wirral in what was a very enjoyable game. They lost the other fixture to Wallasey.

Mini/Junior reps report:
|
It has been agreed that during winter months, the men's Lacrosse team can train on Monday nights and are to look at obtaining lights to utilise the space between the two rugby pitches.
The grounds man is to be asked if the minis pitches on the top ground can be marked to avoid hockey markings which cause confusion for the young rugby players. Action(JG)
The section needs greater publicity and the results of all teams needs to be posted and recorded in minutes.

Women's reps report:

Can senior players help with women's coaching? Team captains action.
The message board has been removed off the women's website.
Gareth Hodges has now officially taken over as Ladies coach. Girls 2 wins from 2 (55-0 v Eccles; 24-0 v Colne and Nelson) with no points conceded and sitting proudly at the top of North West 2.

Noel Chevasse talk arranged by C. Jones. C. Jones to pass on details and produce flyer.
T. Lynch to write 2 nd XV match reports.
Joint Bowls/rugby do on 29 th September was poorly attended and money was lost but the night was enjoyable for those who attended.
P. Bown submitted plans to carry out necessary development to the downstairs bar area. (Quote £11,000) As part of these plans can a small shop be added in the cooey? This was raised at the main club.

9.0 Secretary's report:

The 1 st team will be deducted 2 points for playing an ineligible player.
Ticket allocation for the six nations has arrived. C. Jones has information if anyone is interested.

New Minibus taxed but we have not received the tax disc yet.
The old minibus requires insuring prior to use, Sinead Hodges is looking to see what insurance deals may be available.
The rugby section has now received outstanding credit from the main club, thank to main club.
Website hosting invoice has come through P. Walsh to sort.

13. Ground's reps report:

J. Griffiths contacted Derek Dotty Re: Prom, this venture will be postponed until the New Year.
An estimate for the purchase of Top Soil has been passed onto the main club for £2,600.
Cost of posts will be £1000. The grounds committee support the rugby section in acquiring these posts.
The main club do not want any monies for the sale sharks rugby camp.
P. Bown is awaiting 3 separate quotes for various electrical installations on the bottom ground.

15. Main Committee reps report:

Certain minis membership forms returned as they weren't signed and counter signed. Care needs to be taken to ensure they are completed correctly. (All)
There was a misunderstanding re: monies for hire of the ground for the Sale Camp, no monies are required by the main club.
The Committee asked if Chris Jones is still to organise a Chevasse event at LCC.
Details of income from the Maybrick event have now been reconciled. The main club have credited the rugby section with monies in lieu of income lost through a change if RFU funding

Due to work and other commitments senior coaches are finding it difficult to attend on Tuesdays. Gareth Hodges has volunteered his assistance. Thanks to Gareth, others are also welcome to offer support. It is imperative we keep the Tuesday sessions going. |

Can the main club pay for a flat screen TV for the downstairs bar area?
Geoff Lloyd provided a contact for the probation service, which may be able to provide labour to assist with works required at the club. Details to be passed to the main committee by JG.
G. Hodges to check availability with J. Perry to see if the referee's society can host a hotpot evening on Monday 3 rd December.
A training session for safe use of the scrummaging machine needs to be arranged for all senior coaches. (JG)
