Collegiate show resolve and defensive quality against a very good Warrington side.

Due to a frozen pitch at Warrington it was agreed to switch the game to Collegiate. This resulted in the match kicking off at 11.45. Thanks to everyone's support in getting this match played.

Though the score line suggest drab affair it was anything but. There were plenty of stoppages but the referee was handling the game well and was very clear with both sides on the reasons for his decisions.

Collegiate looked like they had a stronger mental attitude than of late; the recent poor results seemed to spur them on to produce a performance full of fight.

It was a day for the forwards. Both packs were evenly matched. Towards the end of the first half Collegiate were awarded a penalty in front of the posts and Aaron kicked Collegiate in front. Though only small, the lead was to give Collegiate the mental upper hand.

Throughout the second half Warrington grew stronger and had most of the territory. But Collegiate defended well.

With a couple of minutes left Warrington, who had until this point not chosen to kick after being awarded penalties, decided that a draw would be at least something. The kick hit the bar but bounced over to level the game.

Natty ran straight back to the half way line and kicked off deep into Warrington territory and followed up the kick to put the Warrington players under pressure. Warrington then conceded a penalty and with the last kick of the game Aaron slotted home for a very exciting victory.
