On Saturday 8th September 2008 a meal was held at Liverpool Cricket Club to celebrate the success and extreme effort of one of the club's hardest workers behind the scenes.

For those of you who don't know Geoff Lloyd has been a Fixture Secretary for Collegiate since 1968 and has decided to 'hang his boots up' and pass the mantle onto the new generation of the club.

Geoff's work which primarily went unseen by a lot of people in the club and was instrumental in the continuation and obtaining of fixtures for all Senior Teams during the close season.

The meal included Committee and playing members, both past and present and all were there to thank Geoff for his incredible work over the last 40 seasons.

Geoff will be continuing as Secretary of the Merseyside and District Fixture Secretaries Association, where again he has worked so hard in co-ordinating fixtures for local rugby for what seems like an eternity.

Our sincerest gratitude goes out to Geoff for all his efforts and we wish him all the best for the future and hope to see him more often.
